Our story
Hurray, we are going to the cottage!
This is what we told ourselves for years and we did not have a cottage. Hurray, now we´ve got it and it is beautiful. For two years we have been reconstructing and putting together a cottage previously owned by old settlers located in Krušnohory into a form and condition that makes us (and hopefully them) happy.
Hurray, come to our cottage.
Enjoy the mood and atmosphere in the house, where time has stopped and every corner references the times when yellow light shined from the cottages lighting up the surroundings, a cloud of smoke rose to the sky from the stove and inside the smell of bábovka filled the cottage.
Our cottage in Horní Blatná offers everything a cottage should have. It is warm, cozy, has a big table, a big bed, a cellar, a fragrant garden, a view of the church, and is just a few meters away from the forest.
In addition to that, silence. When the last biker, cyclist and cross-country skiers leave, they leave the town quiet and at that time its historical genius stands out.
We simply have a connection to the mountains. Our last name Berger or Highlander has somehow influenced us since. It started with a winter wedding on the pastures of Hřebečná, it continued with Bonifác, our ice son, (it is a title from Czech tradition) and now, after the demanding reconstruction of the dream cottage in the mountains, our mountain circle may be closing, but it is definitely doesn’t end. Unfortunately, we cannot yet move into Horní Blatná, so we would like to offer you cozy accommodation in a cottage that is not set up for business. It is our pleasure and we will be happy if you feel at home here and enjoy your free days in the Ore mountains with all the comfort you will find here.
The cottage provides accommodation for 2 to 8 people in 4 bedrooms.
The house is divided into two separate apartments, Pankrác and Servác, which share a kitchen and dining room.
